Energy and plant modelling

Using Commercial DSM packages we carry out energy modelling at the design stage in order to predict loads, energy use or energy bills once a building is occupied. We use the CIBSE TM54 ‘in-use energy prediction’ methodology in order to clearly present the likely ranges of results and to explain uncertainties in the predictions.

We are able to include more or less detail depending on the design stage and information available and, where necessary, we include bespoke plant models in order to incorporate important features of the design. This enables the performance of plant components to be included in more detail and for control algorithms to be defined.
